The nearest beach is only a couple of km south of the cruise ship port, but you have to get there by road and that's about 3 to 4 km. There's a row of businesses (shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) on a "Malecon" that runs parallel to the beach. I don't know of any private transfer services, but you'll find plenty of taxis after leaving the port area.
