Depending on whether it's normally tameable, you can enter dotame or forcetame in the admin command bar while looking at it. DoTame works on normally tameable creatures and acts like a perfect tame. If that's too simple, you could also spawn the ones you want outside the cave and tame those the normal way instead. Anything goes in Singleplayer because the whole point is to play the game by yourself in the way you want to do it, so I wouldn't even call it "cheating". Heck, a lot of the "cheaty" options are right in front of you at the start. You can adjust stat gain per level, dino damage, harvest amounts, taming speed, etc.
