So i was wondering if playing ToME for the first time with or without dlcs have that kind of impact like that. TLDR: Should i get the game + dlcs at once or would it be fine if i get the base game first then get dlcs later on. ToME is probably my favorite overall game, roguelike or not. I have just over 1000 hours through the Steam version and at least a couple hundred more outside of Steam. I have been playing the game on and off for years and somehow I keep coming back. My only real complaint is that a single run just takes so much time. There are no traditional roguelikes with as many spells as ToME. Its combat is honestly closer to an MMORPG, in a good way. Rift Wizard has a lot of spells, lovely tooltips, and is very popular. On the other hand, I feel like TOME is probably the most complete, longest, broadest, biggest Roguelike I play. It feels immense, unending.
