I have been practicing speedrunning a lot recently, and the rapier is always the weapon of choice. This makes sense for a lot of reasons; It has one of the fastest attack speeds in the game. After that, Espada Ropera is great, and the Ice Rapier trumps all. You want the Leo, RoB, and Stone Ring.
