Terraria calamity class.
The Rogue class is by far the coolest addition that the Calamity mod introduces to Terraria, foregoing the button spam that other classes encourage for a measured approach thanks to the stealth meter and its effects when charged. You must balance spamming and precision for the most damage, scoring big hits other classes can only dream of.

No no. Terraria (and Calamity) itself isn’t forcing you to choose a class. "Choosing a class" means that you’ll play with only a certain type of weapons (the damage type is in the weapon description (melee damage = melee class etc.)). That’s like a mini-challenge. Its very much the same. As a rouge you get more defence, utility, and mobility than mage but slightly less dps potential and you give up the survivability that mage has. Rouge will only really shine once you get past moon lord. All classes can be used but mage is what I've found to work the best. If you're looking for stats, definitely melee, though mage does help squeeze out that little bit extra damage if you're willing to dodge. If you want a consistently mid-tier class go ranger, it isn't as strong as the other two but it doesn't have too many major power spikes or dips, and a lot of calamity ammo types are really fun (specifically hyperius bullets)

Thorium is very well-made. Their mod doesn't last as long as Calamity's. This means Healer, Bard, and their Thrower content can't make it to end-game Calamity.
