Feb 1, 2020 · Yeah that cable is kickdown only on a 350 turbo. On the 200r4 and 700r4 it's the throttle valve cable. Improper adjustment of a tv cable will destroy the transmission. Your cable is like stated above, the button releases the adjustment, push it back, release the button, open the throttle fully and it will self adjust. TV cable HAS TO be tight at WOT. Carb arm HAS TO have geometry correction piece or the clutches will slip. Whine is most likely pump clogged from worn clutch material. TV cable is not a downshift like the th350. It is all pressure and senses throttle position to adjust harshness of shift if the correction piece is installed on the carb.
