well trained for sure if you are using them to fight. If you are farming then war party, Well trained gets +20 to all stats when you have them on follow. Both can be good choices. Personally I go for Well Trained - your thrall getting +20 to all their stats makes them very effective in combat.

I also maxed out Authority, taking the war party perk at the end and then corrupting Authority to level 3 as well. Perk 1 gives my followers a bit of extra damage. But where it gets interesting is Perk 2. Perk 2 gives me a 50% damage mitigation as long as I have a thrall with me.
