In comparison my Silk and Snow is about a 6/10 for firmness so I thought the Emma would be softer but it felt quite a bit more firm on top. So it has a top 2 inch layer of some kind of breathable foam and then a 2 inch memory foam layer for a second layer and then a 6 inch polyfoam base.
