The jammed slide may have this spring off of the slide lock lever and is under the bottom of the slide lock lever, preventing yhe slide lock lever from moving down to unlock the slide. This is a very common issue caused by fiddling with the FCU and leaving one of several candidate pieces out of position. More often than not the Takedown Safety Lever is the culprit. P365 Mag Jam. Range report. I shot about 53 rounds of Fiocchi 124gr fmj, 46 rounds of Winchester Train 147gr fmj, 10 rounds of Novex 65gr RNP (round nose polymer), and 12 rounds of Federal Premium 124gr HST. All rounds were fired at 10 yards. Overall, the P365 ran great.

When the slide is locked back you aren't going to run into any spring resistance from a round in the magazine hitting the part of the slide that strip rounds that I can't think of the name of. I couldn’t find it again but I did find this about another guy who had the same problem as me and ended up taking it to the gunsmith: “I got the P365 back from the gunsmith who said the trigger bar popped off the engagement to the sear or words to that effect.” The P365 uses a potentially weaker (smaller diameter rod) take down lever, but with a stronger metal pin arrangement that goes through the entire rear of the FCU and sits against the width of the grip just ahead of the beaver tail. This can work for occasional removal of the FCU.Take the slide off, put the takedown lever back in, insert an empty mag. You should see the lever lift.
