It appears the spring hole guides are drilled into the plastic with much inconsistency. Even the PC-C1 instructions state that the inconsistent depth of the trigger return spring hole may require cutting of the supplied spring. Either way, it didn’t cause any issues and is, again, a nitpicky complaint. That aside, the Charger ran well for the duration of our time with it. The aftermarket trigger pack combined with the fact that .22 has no recoil whatsoever means you can dump those magazines quickly. Even with the brace folded, the Charger is absurdly easy to manage.What I noticed was that by limiting the rearward travel of the trigger it was preventing the engagement of the little finger from the trigger to the selector that holds the sear clear on forward motion of the trigger. I tried going back to the factory trigger spring and that resulted in the trigger always operating as if it were in binary mode.The trigger does not consistently fire on the release while in binary mode. It will sometimes release the hammer and sometimes stop it from striking the firing pin. My issue is discussed in several forums and youtube videos, and the 2 solutions provided are to trim the trigger return spring and/or grind down part of the safety selector.A look at Franklin Armory’s newest binary trigger system by itself.
